How is Pool different from a joint bank account?

Differences between Pool and a joint bank account

Unlike traditional joint accounts, Pool allows for multiple "tiers" of members (Viewer, Spender, Admin). We're also adding ongoing, granular rules and permissions to our product to make member roles even more granular and specific. Members roles and permissions are usually not possible with traditional joint accounts.

Second, access to funds can be controlled by the Pool Admin.

Pool can be used by couples, families, roommates, friends, and groups who want a simple way to organize shared money, track activity, and make purchases related to a shared purpose.

Many people use Pool because they want the benefits of managing money together without the commitment, complexity, or permanence of a traditional joint account.
